The UEi Non Contact Pocket Electrical Tester stands out from the competition with its extended range and variable sensitivity. It detects AC signals from as low as 6 volts all the way up to 600 volts. With one competitor, you have to purchase two different instruments. With the other competitor's instrument you can detect line and control voltage. But the ability to determine which one of the wires in a multi-conductor bundle is hot, is something that ONLY The PET1 CAN DO! Its variable sensitivity allows you to turn it up high to detect voltage at a distance or turn it down low to get right next to a hot wire before it sounds off. The UEi Non Contact Pocket Electrical Tester has a detection tone you can hear even if you're in a loud, industrial environment. On top of that it uses the new, super bright, multi-colored LED lights to indicate voltage or continuity detection. The continuity feature allows you to quickly check non-energized circuit connections with resistance levels of 0 to 1 Megohms using the sensor tip and one finger. This allows you to determine if controls and contactors are connected, check light-bulb filaments, verify fuses, check for ground faults or identify which wires go where when you're working with multi-wire bundles.
